Ingredients: 600 g rump steak (or sirloin); 200 g cornflour; 1 egg; 400 ml vegetable oil (enough to shallow fry); 30 ml cider vinegar (2 tbsp); 30 ml honey (2 tbsp); 45 ml ketchup (3 tbsp); 15 ml dark soy (1 tbsp); 45 ml water (3 tbsp); 1 tsp chinese five spice (heaped); 2 inches fresh ginger (peeled, chopped); 1 red jalapeno chili (finely chopped (optional)); 200 g choi sum; 0.5 chicken stock cube; 15 ml sesame oil; 15 ml olive oil; 250 g brown rice

This flavour packed dish is delicious and the sweetness usually means it's firm family favourite; as much as we love the crispy beef, it was the choi sum that stole the show.. Chili is optional!
