Ingredients: 250 g basmati rice; 500 ml hot water; 350 g rump steak (or two large ones); 220 g tenderstem broccoli (stalks trimmed left whole); 200 g mushrooms (sliced thick); 3 cloves garlic (sliced); 30 ml veg oil; 1 red chili (optional); 60 ml soy sauce; 30 ml sesame oil; 20 ml honey; 15 ml vinegar (cider, wine or malt - not basmati); 2 inches ginger (grated, or chopped); 10 ml cornflour (about 1.5 teaspoons )
